BCRA/SportsFunder Travel Assistance Application (2007-2008)
Provincial Championship schedules: The schedule for all Provincial Championships has been posted below.
Eligibility: In order to be considered eligible for the Provincial Championships, you must submit a Commitment to Attend form by the deadline of January 7, 2008. Failure to do so will likely result in your team not being selected for Provincials.
A note about Provincials team selection - The Provincials are championships, not a year-end tournament. According to BCRA Policy there are only 8 teams allowed in each division, and for each league the top 50%+1 teams qualify. Occassionally there are not enough team's who "commit to attend" and therefore the teams who qualify may be lower in the standings than the top teams. Each league is responsible for identifying to BCRA their top teams who qualify for Provincials. BCRA does assign each team a tiering value to play based on their roster, but as the leagues move teams around it is difficult to know where a team should really be playing. Provincials rules state that unless a team requests and is granted a Retreat or Advance, they must attend Provincials in the division in which they are tiered regardless of where they play all season.
Registration: Teams who have qualified for Provincials must submit their original BCRA Registration Form and payment to the host committee by February 20, 2008.
Team Adjustment Forms: Team Adjustment Forms will not be accepted at Provincials. Any changes to the team rosters (players or bench staff) must be submitted online no later than seven (7) days prior to the championships.
